New Player Information
Welcome to North Somerset Football Development
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. Remember children’s football is a time for them to develop their technical, physical, tactical and social skills. Winning isn’t everything!
When game is in progress please watch the game from one side of the playing field, leaving the opposite side only to players, coaches and physios.
Please refrain from shouting instructions from the side during the game or training, to individuals or the team, this can be very confusing for the players and may contradict what the coaches have asked of them, by all means support the team and feel free to encourage players.
Please do not criticise or question the referees decisions not matter how bad they appear, it is not an easy job!
After matches please be supporting and always focus on the positive aspects of the players game
Encourage your child to speak with the coach, if they are having difficulties in training or games, or can’t attend training etc. Encourage players to speak directly to the coaches. This “responsibility taking” is a big part of becoming a mature person. By handling off the field tasks, your child is claiming ownership of all aspects of the game.
Help the young player to focus on the performance and not the result.
Players must attend games and training in full kit, if any kit is damaged, lost or stole it is parents/guardians responsibility to replace.
I agree to adhere to North Somerset Football Development’s Code of Conduct as detailed with in this pack
I understand and agree to the terms of payment methods for training and games subs, as stated in the Welcome Pack.
I agree to give North Somerset Football Development 6 weeks notice if we decide leave.
It is my responsibility to cancel my standing order after we have given notice to leave.
I understand that North Somerset Football Development reserve the right to release and replace a player if any part of North Somerset Football Developments terms and conditions as detailed within this pack are not adhered to.
